# Your listings in AI search
> How Matchai makes your published listings easy for Google, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity to find and cite, what helps, and what stays private.

More and more buyers start their search by asking an AI assistant: "a three-bedroom house near a good school in Laval". When you publish a listing on Matchai, it is ready to be found by those assistants and by search engines, with nothing extra for you to do.
There are no tricks and no paid ranking. Matchai publishes a clean, complete, honest version of every public page, so the people and the software reading it get the same facts.
## What Matchai does for every published listing [#what-matchai-does-for-every-published-listing]
- **The page arrives complete.** Your listing's content is in the page itself, not loaded afterwards. Many AI assistants read a page without running anything on it, and they still see the whole listing.
- **A clean text version.** Next to every public page, Matchai publishes a plain-text copy without the layout, which AI assistants read more easily.
- **The facts, stated clearly.** The price with its currency, the bedrooms, bathrooms and area, the address, the photos and you, the listing agent, are also published in the standard format search engines use to understand a property. Only facts that appear on the page are included.
- **A map of your website.** Your website lists its published listings, with the date each one last changed. A listing you have not touched is never presented as new.
- **A quick notice when something changes.** Within minutes of publishing, changing or removing a listing, Matchai tells the search engines that accept these notices, such as Bing, which also powers Copilot. Google relies on your website's map and its dates.

- **A local glossary.** Every public page links to a glossary of Québec and Canadian real estate terms in English, French and Spanish, so an assistant understands the words a listing uses.
Every crawler and every assistant is welcome. Matchai blocks none of them from your public pages.
Matchai never shows assistants and search engines a different page from the one people see. Showing them a special version to rank higher is the kind of trick that gets a website distrusted, and it would put your name on facts nobody can check. In the same spirit, no professional can pay to appear first when someone searches Matchai listings from an AI assistant. The order depends only on how well a listing matches the request and how recently it was updated.
## What you can do to help [#what-you-can-do-to-help]
Assistants recommend what they understand. The more complete your listing, the more requests it can answer.
- **Fill in the facts.** The price, sale or rent, the property type, the living area and its unit, the year built.
- **Describe every room.** Bedrooms and bathrooms are counted from your spaces. A listing without them is left out when someone searches Matchai listings for "three bedrooms". See [price and details](https://matchai.co/docs/guide/listings/price-and-details).
- **Pick the address from the suggestions,** so the listing has a city, a neighbourhood and a place on the map. See [location](https://matchai.co/docs/guide/listings/location).
- **Write a real description,** and keep the neighbourhood description. Assistants quote them.
- **Complete your features,** with their materials. A bare "Windows" is not published.
- **Add plenty of good photos,** and a virtual tour if you have one. See [photos and media](https://matchai.co/docs/guide/listings/photos-and-media).
- **Complete your profile:** your photo, your job title, your brokerage and your licence. They are published with each of your listings as the listing agent's details. See [set up your profile](https://matchai.co/docs/guide/getting-started/set-up-your-profile).
- **Keep it current.** Update the listing when something changes, and mark it as sold when it sells.
When Matchai does not know a fact, it leaves it out. It never fills a gap with a zero or a guess. An assistant that reads "0 bathrooms" repeats it to a buyer, and a missing fact is easier to forgive than a wrong one. Every empty field you fill is one more question an assistant can answer about your listing.
## What is public, and what stays private [#what-is-public-and-what-stays-private]
**Public, once a listing is published:** everything on the listing page, including the full street address and the exact place on the map. There is no setting to hide the address. If a seller is not ready for it to be public, keep the listing as a draft.
**Never public:**
- drafts, archived listings and deleted listings
- your **Terms**: the mandate, the commission and the contract details
- documents marked **Private** in the listing's **Documents** section; only **Public** documents can be downloaded from the listing
- your workspace: your contacts, your messages, your calendar and your files
**Sold listings** stay public until you unpublish them. They are marked as no longer available, and they are left out when someone searches Matchai listings from an AI assistant, unless the person asks for them.
**When you unpublish or delete a listing,** Matchai tells search engines that the page is gone. Search engines and assistants that copied it earlier can take some time to update their copy.
