# Gifting Energy

> Give an unopened Small box, Bag or Box of Matchai Energy to another professional on Matchai, and what they see when it arrives.

You can give Matchai Energy to another professional: a colleague on your team, an agent you refer clients to, a new broker you are helping get started. You send them a whole item, and it moves from your **Your items** to theirs.

## What you can send [#what-you-can-send]

- **A whole, unopened item you bought.** A Small box, a Bag or a Box you have not started using.
- **To a professional.** The person needs a Matchai Workspace account. Clients and other regular accounts cannot receive Energy.

You cannot send your welcome Small box, Energy from your daily doses, or an item you have started using. In the gift window, those show as **In use** or **Not purchased**.

To send part of your Energy, buy a smaller item for the occasion: each item you buy in the [Matchai Store](https://matchai.co/docs/guide/energy-and-billing/matchai-store) arrives separately, ready to give.

## Send an item [#send-an-item]

Open **Settings → Energy**.

Under **Your items**, choose **Send a gift**.

Under **Choose an item**, pick the item to give.

Under **Send to**, search by name, username or email, and pick the professional.

Choose **Send**. Matchai confirms with **On its way**, and the item leaves your list.

The item goes straight to the other professional. There is no step for them to accept it, and you cannot undo it once sent. Check the name before you choose **Send**.

If the search says no professional was found, the person may not have a professional account yet, or may have a regular account. Ask them to [turn their account into a professional account](https://matchai.co/docs/guide/getting-started/create-your-account#regular-and-professional-accounts) first.

If you send many gifts in a short time, Matchai asks you to wait a little before sending more.

## What the other professional sees [#what-the-other-professional-sees]

They get a notification, **You received Energy**, telling them who sent it and which item. The item appears under their **Your items**, marked **From** with your name and photo, and they can start using it right away.

If they do not open it, they can pass it on to someone else, the same way.

Energy is sent as whole, unopened items so that a gift is always exactly what it says: a full Small box, Bag or Box, never a leftover. The welcome Small box and daily doses are Matchai's gift to you, so they stay with you. And because only professionals have the workspace where Energy does its work, only a professional can receive it.
